HOUSEKEEPING
Good house-keeping and hazard reduction is an important component of M&OP’s overall health and safety strategy. Good house-keeping includes:
- Ensuring fire exits and firefighting equipment are free from obstruction
- Identifying and reporting hazards as they occur
- Escalating immediately any identified hazard that poses as a direct threat to the health and safety of a person
- Ensuring your work practices do not interfere with the area’s emergency protection systems, emergency control equipment or evacuation systems
WARDEN RESPONSIBILITIES
An Area Warden is responsible for a designated area of a building or open space; assisting the Chief Warden with the coordination of an emergency response; and supporting any warden activity within their designated area. You should always on every shift identify your nearest emergency exits so if there is an issue you can quickly respond to an emergency.
